Alice's Dreams Diorama-Wonderland theme shadowbox-mushrooms-minatures-perfume bottles. 
 
The dimensions of this box are 9 x 6 x 1". I painted the outside of the box and trim in a bright shade of red. The inside is a playful blue I remember from childhood that always seemed to be everywhere. In each grid, there are various versions of Alice and her differing friends. 
 
The first box, she's hiding behind a rhombus, thinking about love, as a bird flies in to bring her a found treat. The 2nd grid, she's a small child sitting atop a box and thinking about how she'd love to have her friends over for a tea party and cake. The 3rd top grid, she is outside, peering in at the child she used to be, walking around aimlessly, constantly on the search for a friend. The left bottom grid, she's reddened her hair and thinking it's time to purchase a home of her own, and the key, is to that actual home. The next grid, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee are with their little mushroom sister and homeless. They strongly want an invite to Alice's new home so they can crash. The last grid, Alice has given over to her pet friends, the rabbit and the cat. They have their own party in her house every night. 
 
This is just a fun whimsical box, using the theme of Alice in Wonderland. Lots of tiny hand-painted blocks and chess pieces sit in the grids. Miniature handmade perfume bottles are flowing throughout, along with mini houses, desserts, drinks, and more. Polka dots, checkerboards, stickers, glitter, hearts, and more are begging to be found. It's a bit of an "I Spy" journey to see what one can find. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece can be hung with the sawtooth hanger on back, but can stand upright all on its own. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. 
Please do not pull on objects, as they can be removed with enough force.
