An Ode To Old Taverns Display Box- vintage box with drawers - old tavern logos on front. This could have been a spice rack at one time. It has two drawers in the bottom. The doors can be closed so nothing can be seen inside, or left open to view the various drinks inside. When the doors are closed, the taverns represented on front are "Red Nose Tavern" (1801), "Mare's Head Tavern" (1790),  "Temperance" (1806), and "Silent Woman Entertainment" (1762).
 
The dimensions of this box are 14 x 12 x 2.5", It has drawers on the bottom that can hold small items and there's an extra shelf on top where things can also be stored. 
 
I tried to represent a good array of drink choices but, couldn't possibly fit them all in. So, there's the spritzer, tequila, a glass of merlot, a bloody Mary, an empty Moscow mule copper mug, (I had one that was filled up w/the works like lime and ginger beer but, it wouldn't fit), and a beer in a glass. A small vintage barrel and stein sit off to the side. Missing is the old-fashioned and the martini, among others, including a Christmas spirit.
 
Unique 70's mannequin heads are throughout. A mod 60's gal sits behind the spritzer with her gloved hand. A red haired girl wearing a leather jacket is behind the Moscow mule. Other mixed media of bars, bartenders, servers, and more can be found in the pictures in the background. 
 
This is a fun barroom piece with a vintage past. It's for those who appreciate the old taverns of yore and the talk and excitement that went along inside them. 
 
For the person who has the talent and inspiration to always make the perfect drink. It's a gift for those who already have everything. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. This box sits freestanding, or can be hung with the  hangers on back. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.
