Gingerbread Diorama-vintage gingerbread man and woman-vintage ornament art assemblage-Christmas shadow box.
 
The dimensions of this box are 6 3/4 x 5 x 1 3/4". I painted the inside and outside trim in a golden wash and added an upcycled necklace. The rest of the box is a burgundy shade with various shades washed on the backside. Two upcycled gingerbread ornaments, a boy and girl, are within, surrounded by other upcycled vintage ornaments. A gold bottle brush tree is trimmed in strands of red fuzzy trim. A tiny dog awaits underneath the tree, alongside a couple presents, while a flocked periwinkle colored teddy bear sits off in the opposite corner. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. It can hang with the sawtooth hanger on back or sit freestanding.
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. 
Please do not pull on objects, as they can be removed with enough force.
