Mrs. Claus Takes The Reins Diorama - reindeer and sleigh - Christmas shadowbox.
 
The dimensions of this box are 15 x 6 x 3". It's painted a metallic shade of purple with blue color shift throughout. Magenta glitter is sprinkled all over. The back of the box was left natural.
 
Sometimes, ole Santa can't be everywhere at once so, his better half takes the reins for him. She has her pet reindeer "Buck" in the back of the sleigh helping to disperse with all the presents. Instead of cracking a whip like her sidekick husband, she uses a broomstick instead. The sleigh is speckled in purple and blue with blue rhinestones adorning it. The blue and gray reindeer guiding her are also speckled and each one carries a gift upon its back. They are heading to a small house with a Christmas wreath above the door, while a vintage snowman ornament awaits beside it. 
 
A painted wood Christmas tree is painted green and embellished with ornaments and snow is on its branches. More glittery silver bells, pink snowflakes, and a star are within. On top of the box are more snowflakes, rhinestones, and bows. Each side of the box has a cutout so fairy lights can be hung within.
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. This box sits freestanding or, it can be hung with the sawtooth hanger on back.
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.
