Nutcrackers R Us Diorama-Christmas mixed media collage-nutcracker theme shadow box art.
 
This box has dimensions of 5 x 5 x1". It's painted a reddish brown shade and lined it in paper trimmings with a peppermint pattern, and one which mimics measuring tape. On the bottom is a piece of gold fabric. Inside, on the back, are various pieces of Christmas mixed media that I added a collage medium to and sprinkled paint on some of it. Three nutcrackers are dressed in blue and surrounded by tiny bottles of glitter and sequins inside resin. I hand-painted tiny wooden blocks and added other embellishments, along with a miniature Santa.
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. It can hang with the sawtooth hanger on back or sit freestanding.
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue.
