Old Fashioned Christmas Diorama - Christmas shadow box - old truck with Christmas tree.
 
The dimensions of this box are 12 x 10 x 1.5". The original box was kept black and has an old red truck  carrying a Christmas tree home in the background. 
 
This box represents the nostalgia of going out to cut the tree on a cold wintry day and bringing it home in back of the old truck. The background has a small birdhouse, a poinsettia cabochon, hollyberry, a resin snowman cab, a painted glittery bell, and more. A tiny angel is off flying in the top corner, protecting ole Santa as he's about to go down the chimney of the red house. A painted glittery cross sits underneath adorned with a single red rhinestone.
 
In the foreground are two wooden Christmas trees with red decorations on them. Truck owner "Gnome" stands outside his truck holding his sign of "JOY" while his pet pup watches him. A sweet little tin angel is topping the tree he cut down for the family home. She had been watching and protecting him the entire trip. A little vintage snowman ornament is beside the dog. He wears his little scarf and dons a hat made from an upcycled earring. 
 
Atop the box is an old clear glass drawer pull to finish the old-fashioned theme. 
 
This is the gift for those who remember those nostalgic memories of simpler times and also for those who have yet to experience it. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. This box can hang with the sawtooth hanger on back or sit freestanding. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. 
Please do not pull on objects, as they can be removed with enough force.
