Santa Claus Nutcracker Diorama-Christmas Eve shadow box-miniatures art assemblage-fireplace and Christmas stockings scene art.
 
This box is 13 x 7.5 x 2" and painted a light shade of pink mixed with red oxide and I added purple, and metallic green and gold circle dots within. Small acrylic cabochons are on top and surrounded by snow.
 
Inside the box is a little girl awakening on Christmas Eve. She and her pup and kitty think they've caught Santa Claus in the act of bringing presents but, he has to assure her he's only a nutcracker. I painted the fireplace and placed goodies for Santa, and from Santa, on top, along with two older style little flocked bears with Santa hats inside Christmas bags. An upcycled piece of jewelry is in the middle. Tiny stockings hang from the fireplace. I made a small mixed media collage of santa within a frame and placed an old earring atop it. A gold bottle tree with a blue glittered star and more fun pieces await discovery. 
 
This is a whimsical and fun piece, especially for those who like a touch of pink at Christmastime. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. This box sits freestanding. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.
