Snow Train Diorama - Christmas snowman train shadowbox - baby blue train.
 
The dimensions of this box are 11 x 3.25 x 2". The back side was left natural and the rest of the box was painted metallic burgundy. On top of the box is a flat silver drawer pull. The outside trim of the box is lined with varying pieces: two green, red, & white striped candy canes, acrylic resin snowflakes, gold bells, rhinestones, old jewelry pieces, a silver enamel stocking, buttons, and an old piece of wired nail that was painted blue. 
 
Inside the box are jewelry pieces, rhinestones, a floral cabochon, and a snowman head in the background. The star of the box is the little wooden baby blue train with painted snowflakes on each car.
 
There are four parts to the train, one in each grid. In front is the main engine painted blue and gold with buttons on the wheels and a hex nut and washer on it. The second car has a little white koala bear inside. The third car contains a snowman with a gold hat and the fourth car has a tiny vintage ornament and a white painted miniature wooden tree. 
 
This would make a nice gift for a nursery or train lovers in general, especially those who appreciate a Christmas snow spin on it. It's a whimsical, lighthearted piece that brings the joy and memories of hearing the old lonesome train whistle every night at midnight and that nostalgic memory of cold winter nights during Christmastime. If one lived beside the tracks, you understand. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. This box sits freestanding. There is no hanger on back.
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue.
