Steampunk Adventures Diorama- steampunk mixed media shadow box-gears-bugs-chess pieces-diver-industrial theme art. 
 
The dimensions of this box are 12 x 8 x 1/3/4". It has a pumpkin shaped ceramic drawer pull on top and is lined with multiple cabochon pieces in gold, gunmetal, steel, bronze, and clear colors. The box is stained in a dark brown finish.
 
Inside, the back of the box is lined in varying collages of mixed media with a steampunk theme. Lots of gears, cogs, and upcylced jewelry, some of which I made, is also against the paper themed background. There's a couple of flying bug jewelry pieces and an old Fossil watch face.  
 
In the front is a little character dressed in an old style diving suit. His pet pup watches him, while sitting on a hand-painted block that's been layered with glass tile pieces in brown shades. A couple small birds linger on the premises with them. Tiny vintage chess pieces are on the other side of him, as well as a couple stringed musical instruments. 
 
This is a fun one, somewhat on the heavy side. You'll be finding things for days. It's very detailed and would make a great gift for those who love "steampunk" designs, oddities, and curiosities. It was purposely given a vintage, rustic look and is somewhat industrial. 
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. Sometimes, I don't see strands of glue left behind right away but, if it's there, it's no big deal to tweeze it off. This box can hang with the sawtooth hanger on back or sit freestanding. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from combinations of used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue. 
Please do not pull on objects, as they can be removed with enough force.
