Shadow Box Art -Sunny Orange Beach Town -art assemblage, mixed media, coastal town, ooak.
 
This started as an unfinished 6 x 4" box I painted a pale shade of metallic silvery peach. Inside lie several layers of caviar beads and glitter flakes underneath a layer of resin glue. Several small houses of varying shapes and sizes are painted various shades of melon, orange, peach, and rust to represent the look of a small beach/coastal town. The outside of the box is lined with mosaic tiles. Glass pieces are thrown in, along with cabochon roses.
 
This piece is handmade and one of a kind. There may be small imperfections, which is consistent with vintage and handmade items. Each box is made carefully with love and hopefully, will make you smile. 
 
My shadowbox pieces are eclectic and made from used and found objects, vintage items, and store purchased finds. I try to upcycle with various pieces when allowable and mix them with modern pieces for a diverse and unique assemblage. This piece can be hung with the rope hanger and it's also equipped with a sawtooth hanger on back, but can stand upright all on its own. I've tried to capture the details in photos so please, look very carefully before purchasing.

The items inside are not removable. They are glued in with very strong-bonding glue.
